In Loving Memory Of Harry Riter Harry Riter, 84, of Littleton, WV died Sunday, August 11, 2002 in the Wishing Well Health Care Center in Fairmont following a lengthy illness. He was born September 15, 1917 at Kirk Ridge, near Littleton, a son of the late James Riter and Rachel Jane Mason Riter. Mr. Riter was a retired school bus driver for the Wetzel County Board of Education. He was a farmer and a former rural mail carrier. In his early life he was a truck driver for the Carnation Milk Company in Cameron and was a Methodist by faith. Surviving are two sons and spouses; Terry and Jan Riter of Littleton and Harry Riter, Jr. and Chris Riter of Akron, OH; one daughter and spouse, Violet Rose and Tom Menas of Farmington; seven grandchildren including, Thomas Menas II, Monette and Kim Ammons, Annette and Barry Martino, Rosette Menas and Fiance' , Greg Chenoweth, and Jason Riter; two step grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Riter, who died on June 23, 2002; five brothers, Bill Riter, Glenn Riter, Frank Riter, Earnie Riter and Alfred Riter; one sister who died in infancy. Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred form 2-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Joyce Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Shriver Cemetery near Hundred.
