In Loving Memory Of Lester D. Steele Lester D. Steele, 75, of Hundred, WV died Saturday, September 8, 2001 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Mr. Steele was born February 27, 1926 at Bula, WV a son of the late Homer Russell and Augusta Toothman Steele. Mr. Steele was a retired barber. He operated Les's Barber Shop in Hundred for more than 40 years. Mr. Steele was a graduate of Clay Battelle High School and Wheeling Barber College. He was a Methodist by faith and a United States Army Veteran who served as a medic during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Lucy M. Fairfax Steele; two daughters and son-in-law, Tempa Steele of Hundred and Deanna and Neil Raper of Boyce, Virginia; one sister, Carol L. Steele of Hundred; two grandsons, Jarrod and Matthew Raper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Homer R. Steele, Jr.. Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Samuel K. Hibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Burton.
