FREDA M FOX

Freda M. Fox, 71, of Crossroads died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born January 17, 1936 at Big Isaac, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Juanita Nicholson.

Mrs. Fox was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Senior Citizens. She attended the Union Baptist Church and the Highland Church. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church Mission Circle. Freda was a graduate of Fairview High School.

Surviving are her second husband, James Fox; two sons, Gregory N. Tennant of Wadestown and Jeffery L. Tennant of Crossroads; two daughters, Marla Webb of Crossroads and Lillian Lawson of Fairmont; one sister, Debbie Nicholson of Morgantown, nine grandchildren, including Carrie Tennant and Molly Raudenbush, who were both raised by Mr. and Mrs. Fox; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Hayes Tennant; one son, Gary H. Tennant; one brother Harvey Nicholson; and one sister, Jean Satterfield.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday. Interment will follow in the St Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
