ALBERT L METZ

Albert L. "Boots" Metz, 63, of Morgantown, WV died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born November 6, 1944 at New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late William E. Metz and Anna B. Myers Metz.

Boots last worked on the railroad. He was a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred and was a United States Army veteran.

Surviving are two sons, Albert Ray Metz of New Martinsville and Michael Miller of Wileyville; four brothers, Leonard "Pete" Metz of Morgantown, Robert Metz of Tennessee, Ray Metz of Hundred, and Jack Metz of Morgantown; two sisters, Helen Patterson of Burton and Betty Cumberlidge of Hundred; one granddaughter, Tiffany.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cecil Metz; and three brothers, William Metz, David Metz, and Charles Metz.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Saturday with the Rev. Charlene Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery near Hundred.
