BETTY CORDER

Betty L. Corder, 81, of Wana, WV died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown following a brief illness.

She was born August 13, 1926 at Davis, WV a daughter of the late Vada Jay Hebb.

Mrs. Corder was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Wana United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her loving husband of 39 years, Ray P. Corder; two sons and spouses, Frank and Ellen Rose of Jakes Run and John and Judy Rose of Mooresville; one daughter and spouse, Elizabeth "Betsy" Vannoy and her husband Mark of Core; seven grandchildren, Debra Copeland, Greg Rose, Lisa Raber, Scott Rose, Autumn Gonzales, Libby Rose, and Damion Vannoy; eight great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Rose, who died on November 15, 1964.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Eakin-Wana Cemetery at Wana.
