Homer C. Parker, 73, of Hundred, WV died Monday, July 28, 2008 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born February 9, 1935 at Plum Run, near Mannington, WV, a son of the late Charles Parker and Icie M. Fluharty Parker.

Dick was a disabled truck driver and formerly worked for the Town of Fairview garbage department. He was a baptist by faith.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Yost Parker, and one sister, Dorothy "Sis" Roberts of Monumental.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a foster son, Mark Allen Falls; and two brothers, Turner Parker and Bud Parker.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.

The cremains will be buried in the Parker Cemetery on Plum Run near Mannington.

The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
