MERONA J. RIGGS

Merona J. Riggs, 67, of New Freeport, PA died Friday, June 26, 2009 at her residence.

She was born April 26, 1942 at Butler, PA a daughter of the late Clinton Fair and Agnes Shear Fair.

Merona formerly worked as a nurse. She was a member of the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was also a member of the United Emergency Unit in Hundred. She was a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her caregivers, Alfred E. Garrison and Veronia Sue Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Riggs.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Sunday. There will be no funeral service. Cremation will follow the visitation.

The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
