RICHARD W. DERBY

Richard Wayne "Richie" Derby, 31 of Littleton, WV died Saturday, September 19, 2009 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born October 8, 1977 at Fairmont, WV a son of Steven W. Derby, Sr. and Regina Darlene Robinson Derby, of Littleton.

Richie was a self employed mechanic. He attended the Rice Ridge Community Church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother and spouse, Steven and Deborah Derby of Littleton; one sister, Korena Derby of Littleton; six nieces and nephews, Shawn Derby, Clarissa Derby, Jeremy Derby, Madlynn Blare, Ty Blare, and Laura Blare; his girl friend, Lasetta Tedrow, of Littleton; his maternal grandmother, Madeline Robinson of Littleton; his paternal grandmother, Bettie Derby of Littleton; four step-daughters, Michelle Villers of Littleton, Melissa Horner of Deep Valley, PA, Amanda Villers of Hundred, and Sarah Villers of Morgantown; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two step-grandchildren, Katelynn and Jayden.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl W. Robinson; his paternal grandfather, Allen Derby; an uncle, Sonny Derby; and his wife Crystal Derby who died in the same accident.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with the Pastor Roger Greathouse officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Ridge Cemetery near Littleton.
