He was born November 26, 1950 at Summersville, WV a son of Ruth Johnson Quickle of Ashdown, Arkansas and the late Graden Quickle.

Roger was a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Penny Jones Quickle, a daughter Audrey Linder Joyner of Winchester, CA, two brothers Larry Quickle of Beckley, WV and Wayne Quickle of Clarksburg, WV, a sister Jean Kersten of Ashdown, Arkansas, a half-sister Connie Murray of Clarksburg, WV, three grandchildren Brooke Linder, Shelby Linder and Michael Joyner.
