In Loving Memory Of
Wilson Carl Stoneking, 86, of Gilbert Ridge Road, New Freeport, PA died
Saturday, August 8, 2009 in The Washington Hospital, Washington, PA.
Mr. Stoneking was born September 9, 1922 at Big Run, WV, he moved to
Southwestern Pennsylvania at the age of 13.
He was a son of the late John Melvin Stoneking and Delilah Rose Hutt
Stoneking. Wilson
worked in the oil fields and installed air shafts for the coal mines.
He also worked for Preston Oil Company.
He worked as a timber cutter and was a farmer.
He was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church of Garrison, PA.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Ruth Naomi Roupe Stoneking; two sons,
Larry Stoneking and Albert Stoneking, both of New Freeport; two sisters, Wilma
Lee Kiger of Waynesburg, PA and Eileen Lemasters of Garrison, PA; five
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were three sisters,
Agnes Dulaney, Martha Wade, and Mamie Dulaney; and two brothers, Bill Stoneking
and Alfred Stoneking.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 7-9 PM
Monday. Funeral services will be
held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Pastor Freddie Eddy
officiating. Interment will follow
in the Thomas Cemetery at Ned, PA.
