In Loving Memory Of GARY
TENNANT Gary
Lynn Tennant, 65, of Pentress died Monday April 19, 2010 at his residence
following a long battle with liver cancer. He
was born March 12, 1945, at Daybrook, a son of the late Ralph Don Tennant and
Loma E. Hamilton Tennant. Gary
was a retired coal miner having worked at the Blacksville #1mine. He was a
member of the United Mine Workers of America District #31. He
was a protestant by faith and attended various churches in the area. Surviving
are his ex-wife, Jane Liming Tennant of Blacksville; one son, Gary Allen Tennant
of Core; one daughter, Tabatha Layton of Blacksville; one brother, Norris
Tennant of Daybrook; one sister, Marionetta Huffman of Waynesburg,PA; and three
grandchildren, Janelle Layton, Jessica Layton, and Sara Tennant. Friends
may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the
Pastor Hap Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at
Pentress. You
