W SAPP Lawrence
W. "Pap" Sapp, 83, of Hundred, WV died Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the
New Martinsville Health Care Center in New Martinsville. Mr.
Sapp was born June 22, 1927 on Bear Run near Littleton, a son of the late Edward
Sapp and Della Hostutler Sapp. Pap
was retired from the Ohio River Sand and Gravel Company in New Martinsville. He
was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. Lawrence
was a member of the Hundred Church of Christ. He was a very kind and gentle
person who loved people. Surviving
are one step-son and his wife, Kenneth Kuhn Jr and Karen of Leander, TX; one
step-daughter and her husband, Linda and Alfred Stevens of Hundred; three
brothers, George Sapp of Pine Grove, Howard Sapp of Colliers and James Sapp of
Baytown, TX; one sister, Georgia Allen of Ravenna, Ohio; five step-grandsons and
their spouses, Todd and Ronda McDiffitt of Hundred, Scott and Sally McDiffitt of
Bethesda, Ohio, Kenny and Michelle Kuhn of Leander, TX, Jason and Audra Kuhn of
Weirton, and Jacob Stevens and Leslie Lagowski of Morgantown; seven
step-great-grandchildren, Logan McDiffitt, Raven McDiffitt, Riley McDiffitt,
Kaleb McDiffitt, Luke McDiffitt, Kameron Kuhn, and Sarah Kuhn. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise V. Sapp
who died on September 1, 2008; two sisters, Florence Sapp and Norma Riter; and
one brother, Ralph Sapp. Friends
will be received at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Monday.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the
Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore
Cemetery.
