In Loving Memory Of TED
HEFLIN
Ted R. Heflin, 78, of Core, WV died Friday, April 16, 2010 in the
Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born February 2, 1932 at Cassville, WV a son of the late Lawrence
Heflin and Myrtle M. West Heflin.
Ted was a retired construction worker and was a United States Army
Veteran having served during the Korean War.
Surviving is one sister, Dolly Tennant of Fairview; three step-daughters,
Doris Eleanor Deavers of Granville, Charlene Eveland of Columbia, MD, and
Carolyn Ammons of Daybrook; ten step-grandchildren; twenty-seven step-
great-grandchildren; five-step great-great-grandchildren; and eight
step-great-great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Aretis V. Heflin, who
died on June 12, 2008; one brother, Alfred Heflin; and three sisters, Daisy
Heflin, Flossie Walls, and Alda Music.
Friends will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville
from 6-9 PM Monday. Funeral services
will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Rev. Bill NeSmith
officiating. Interment will follow
in the Zoar Cemetery near Morgantown.
