In Loving Memory Of

JERRY CHISLER

Jerry Chisler, 73, of Daybrook, WV died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born May 9, 1938 at Daybrook, a son of the late Tracy "Boog" Chisler and Essie Mae Brewer Chisler.

Mr. Chisler was a retired employee of Pennzoil. He had worked for the company for over 37 years.

He was a member of the Monongalia County Farm Bureau and the Clay-Battelle Senior Citizens.

Jerry loved his family, his grandkids, and his many friends. His farm and his goats were very important in his life as well as splitting wood. He also greatly enjoyed restoring old tractors and gas well engines. He attended many engine shows. Also, he had a great passion for hunting as well as trapping. If it could be shot-he would hunt it. He loved the outdoors. He loved to tell stories about things from the past and was quite a talker.

In his younger years he played basketball with two very famous people, Jerry West and Hot Rod Hunley.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Lou Eddy Chisler; two sons and their spouses, David Lynn Chisler and his wife Sheila of Core, Jeffrey Kyle Chisler and his wife Tammy of Daybrook; two daughters and their spouses, Kimberly Lea Chisler and her fiance' Henry Dawson of Raysal, WV and Pamela Sue Chisler Rush and her husband David Rush of Wadestown; three brothers and their spouses, Larry and Sandy Chisler of Mooresville, Rob and Patty Chisler of Wadestown, and Roddy Dean and Carolyn Chisler of Daybrook; eleven grandchildren, Donnie Clark, Jr, Chad Allen Chisler, Carissa Lewis, Chandra and Eddie Kennedy, Dade and Kala Chisler, JeriAnn and John Gump, Brooke Rush, Michael Chisler, Felesha Rush, Kyle Chisler, and Sydney Rush; seven great-grandchildren, Colby Chisler, Gage Hathaway, Forrest Lewis, Trey Kennedy, Trevor Kennedy, Zachary Gump, and Gabrielle Gump; his sidekick, Hank the dog; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; a sister JoAnn Chisler Tennant and her husband, Lawrence Tennant.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Ruby Memorial Hospital and Health South Rehab Hospital for the care and compassion show to Jerry and his family during his illness.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Chisler Cemetery on the family farm.
