Anna Jean Kennedy, 85, of Bula, WV died Monday, May 16, 2016 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
Jean was born June 28, 1930 at Mooresville, a daughter of the late George W. Johnson and Pearl E. Jones Johnson.
Mrs. Kennedy formerly worked as a cook for the Monongalia County Board of Education as well as a baker at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was a member of the MacDale Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Robert Kennedy of Bula; one daughter, Patricia Lantz of Morgantown; three brothers, Jack Johnson of Mooresville, Melvin Johnson of Kingwood Pike, and John Johnson of Alexandria, VA; two sisters, Ruth Johnson of Fairview and Rose Caltrider of Parkersburg; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Guy Kennedy; one sister, Betty Gant; and two brothers, George “Bill” Johnson and James F. Johnson.
At the request of the deceased there will not be any funeral home visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
