BENNY HIGGINBOTHAM, JR.

          Benny Higginbotham, Jr, 60, of Core, WV went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2024.  He was born July 31, 1963 in Morgantown, a son of Mary Ann Ross Higginbotham and the late Rev. Benny Higginbotham.  He was surrounded by his family and friends at the Gensis Nursing Home in Fairmont at the time of his death.

          In addition to his mother Benny Jr. is survived by his two sisters, Cloressa Beatty and Veronica Higginbotham; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and his step-father, Warren Darnell.

          Mr. Higginbotham was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Benny Higginbotham; two brothers, Brett Oneal Higginbotham and Mathew Higginbotham; one son, Jason Higginbotham; maternal grandmother, Juanita Kemp; maternal grandfather, Willard Lee Ross; and paternal grandparents, Sherman and Thelma Higginbotham.

          The family will receive friends at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00AM Saturday with Rev. Ray Fluharty officiating.  Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
