CHARLES C. SMITH
Charles “Charlie” Smith, 50, of Hundred, WV died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born September 9, 1970 at Fairmont, WV, a son of Agnes Losh Smith of Hundred and the late James Smith.
Charlie worked for Murray Coal Company and worked with electrical communications.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his best friend, Stephanie Wise; one brother and sister-in-law, James & Peggy Smith of Hundred; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn & Greg Hostutler of Hundred; four nieces and nephews, Ashley Davis, William Hostutler, Aaron Hostutler, and Danielle Smith; and ten great-nieces and nephews, Isaac Davis, Noah Davis, Asher Davis, Vada Hostutler, Violet Hostutler, Anneliese Hostutler, Asia Hostutler, Jadda Smith, Marley Smith, and Tobyn Smith.
At the request of the deceased his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of the arrangements.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Charlie in college through Nicole Primm. He was such a nice guy. Always joking and laughing. He will be missed, but always remembered.

I knew Charlie , he always found a way to fix the communication problem I was having with my radio. I work at Murray mine also .

Charlie was a friend to all and the center of every gathering. He was a loyal friend and never hesitated to help those in need. Charlie was like a brother to us. We are deeply saddened and miss him but are confident that he is now in Heaven making new friends.
