DONALD LEE WILLIAMS

          Donald Lee Williams, 75, of Fairmont, WV passed away on February 3, 2024 at Mon Marion Neighborhood Hospital in Fairmont. 

          He was born June 27, 1948 in Fairmont, a son of Wilma Tennant Williams and the late Billy D. Williams.

          Surviving is his loving wife of 29 years, Linda Fluharty Williams.

          Don was a 1967 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.  He served as a heavy equipment operator and Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force and retired after 23 years of service.  He later worked as a bus driver for the Monongalia County Board of Education and retired in 2012 after 20 years.  In retirement, he enjoyed selling Rada Cutlery at many craft shows and fairs throughout the area.

          In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sister, Debbie Delaney of Fairview; his brother, Roger Williams of Fairview; his daughter, Shannon (Leonard) Rogers of Damainsville, IL; his stepson, Sean (Edie) Major of Alton, IL; his stepdaughter, Debby (Jay) Michalski of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Kayla Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Shellie McAllister, Brad Ross, and Michael Michalski; his brother-in-law, Gary (Norma) Fluharty; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Fluharty and Joyce Williams; and several great-grandchildren.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bentons Ferry United Methodist Church, c/o Nancy Aspinall, 1114 Katherine Street, Fairmont, WV   26554.

          Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday.  Funeral services will be held in the Daybrook Methodist Church on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating.  Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00.  Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Daybrook.
