JAMES ALFRED TATE

          James Alfred Tate, 72 of Wileyville, WV died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his residence.

          He was born April 27, 1951 at Weirton, WV, a son of the late Alfred Joseph Tate and Elizabeth Jane Owings Tate.

          Jimmie never had any children of his own.  He helped raise Joseph Kirkpatrick and Jeremy Kirkpatrick (who is now deceased).

          He is survived by one sister, Carolyn Moore of Littleton; nieces and nephews, Sara Hawkins, Robin Norris, Matt Norris, Angela Manuel, and Fred Manuel, Jr.; fourteen great-nieces and nephews; and two young men that he treated as grandchildren, Jeremy Kirkpatrick and Jaxon Kirkpatrick.

          At the request of the deceased his body will be cremated.  All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

          The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
