LONNY DAVID LONG
Lonny David Long, 79, of Rice Ridge Community (Cameron) died February 14, 2024 at his residence.
He was born December 2, 1944 to the late Lewis “Nick” Long and Leah Stern Long.
Mr. Long was a graduate of Magnolia High School in the class of 1963. He worked as a brick layer out of Union Local #1. He served in the United States Army and he was stationed in Germany. He was a Baptist by faith and attended the Rice Ridge Community Church.
He enjoyed hunting with his wife Linda, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, music, and being with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Sue Long, to whom he had been married for 40 years; children, Sherri Seese of Morgantown, Michelle Wilcox (John Wilcox) of Weirton, Randall Blake (Alicia Blake) of Wheeling, Kristina Yoho (Mark Sheppard) of New Martinsville; twelve grandchildren, Jeffory, Courtney, Jessica, Haylea, Sierra, Kelsey, Kyle, Jordan, Madison, Whitney, Marshall, and Maddison; twelve great-grandchildren, Brilynn, Braydon, Alora, Maxxwell, Randall, Elliann, Kennedy, Keaton, Rowan, Ellen, Paislee, and Jovi; and two brothers, Roger Long (Kittie Long) of Silver Hill and Robert Long (Rose Herman) of New Martinsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Long and one sister, Verna Dreyer.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024.
