NORA McCOY

          Nora Mae McCoy, 70, of Daybrook, died Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

          She was born December 3, 1950 at Fairmont, a daughter of the late Samuel Carpenter and Nanny Rager Carpenter.

          Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.

          Surviving are two sons and their spouses, George and Heather McCoy of Daybrook and Thomas McCoy Jr. and Amanda of Jakes Run; three daughters, Emzie Barr and Daniel, Rachel McCoy, and Rebecca “Becky” McCoy, all of Daybrook; one brother, Clyde Carpenter of Petersburg, VA; six grandchildren, Daniel T. Barr, Jacob Moore, Thomas “Tray” McCoy, III, Mark McCoy, William “Billy” McCoy, and Ryan McCoy.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McCoy; two sisters, Mazzie McCoy and Martha Carpenter who died as an infant; and three brothers, John Carpenter, Guy Carpenter, and Fay Carpenter.

          Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-8 PM on Thursday.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating.  Interment will follow in the McCoy Cemetery.
