REDA M. AMOS

          Reda M. Amos, 97, of Union Bridge, MD and formerly of the Knob Fork area died Thursday, May 12, 2022.

          She was born September 18, 1924 at Wileyville, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence O. Poulton and Gladys v. Delaney Poulton.

          Reda was a former employee of the Shortline Telephone Company and its successors.  She was a member of the Crossroads Extension Homemaker Club and the Wetzel County Farm Bureau.  She was a rosie the riveter during World War II.

          Mrs. Amos was also a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Knob Fork.

          Surviving are two daughters, Margaret A. “Peggy” Hunter of Union Bridge, MD and Rebecca S. Dietzler of Elkader, Iowa; one brother, Charles Dulaney of Colliers; one sister, Geneva McCarthey of Miami, Florida; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, William T. Sidell and Dessie Thomas Sidell; her husband, Cloyd Amos who died on March 26, 1994; her step-father, Edward Dulaney; two brothers, James Poulton and Zane Dulaney; and two sisters, Norma Martin and Wanama Roberts.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Noon on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV with interment to follow in the cemetery.
