ROGER STALNAKER
Roger M. Stalnaker, 83, of New Freeport, PA died suddenly on Friday, April 23, 2021.
He was born January 29, 1938 at Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Walker Stalnaker and Mabel Morford Stalnaker.
Roger was a timber cutter and a logger. He worked most of his life in the woods. He was a member of the NRA. He loved to go cruising in his antique cars and he loved to attend car shows.
He formerly attended the Grandview United Methodist Church at Garrison which is now closed.
Surviving is one son, Roger Stalnaker, II of Aleppo, PA; two daughters, Lisa Metz of New Freeport and Christine Stalnaker of Waynesburg; one brother, Larry Stalnaker of Charleston; and one sister, Patricia Johnston of Point Arena, California; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Peterson Stalnaker; one daughter, Ann Marie Stalnaker; and two sisters, Kathryn Clelland and Mary Jennewine.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 5-8 PM on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Centennial Cemetery near Aleppo, PA.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved playing the guitar with Roger and his group of friends. We also enjoyed talking with him about the woods and the animals he's seen in the woods. He will be missed.
