Waneta Johnston of Baltimore, MD died Saturday, June 20, 2021 at her daughter’s residence.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924 at Burton, WV a daughter of the late Farley Rush and Mabel Roberts Rush.
Mrs. Johnston was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are one son James “Randy” Johnston of Glen Burnie, MD; three daughters Kathy Smith of Sedalia, MO, Janet Frei of White Hall, MD, and Maria “Susie” Bull of Denton, MD; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Okey Jackson Johnston; 1 son Okey Dean Johnston; one brother Cameron Keith Rush; and three sisters Iris Gaynell Grimm, Gilda Anderson, and Wilda Dodd.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 23 at 10:30 AM with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating at the Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton, WV.
My mom will dearly be missed. I enjoyed being around her.
