WILLIAM K. BOYLEN, SR.
William K. Boylen, Sr. (Bill), 92 of Morgantown, WV died Saturday, February 17, 2024 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born May 18, 1931 at Thornton, WV, a son of the late Audrey A. Boylen and Loretta Foutz Boylen.
Bill was a timber buyer and cutter for over 50 years. He was a member of the Jakes Run Assembly of God.
Surviving are one son and his wife, William K. Boylen, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Fairview; two daughters and their spouses, Joyce Linville of Fairmont and Linda Gerard and her husband Sunda of Morgantown; one brother, Carl Boylen of Arthurdale; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Boylen who died on November 22, 2014; two sisters, Margaret Barker and Mary Jane Dodd; five brothers, Junior Boylen, Jack Boylen, Robert Boylen, Gene Boylen, and Dale Boylen; and a son-in-law, Robert Linville.
Friends may call at the Jakes Run Assembly of God Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
