Charles Anthony "Tony" Trout, 17, of Jakes Run died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown from injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Saturday, June 23, 2007.
Tony was born January 19, 1990 in Morgantown.
He would have been a senior at Clay-Battelle High School this fall. He was very active in the Clay-Battelle FFA Chapter. Hunting and fishing were his hobbies. During the summer he worked for many farmers in the area including the Eddy farm.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Warren B. Trout and his wife Ellen of Jakes Run; his mother and step-father, Sherry Stafford Leferers and her husband Tom of Morgantown; paternal grandparents, Betty and Lindsay Johnson of Pentress; maternal grandfather, Charles Stafford of Morgantown; maternal grandmother, Doris Darracott of Denver, NC; three brothers and their spouses, Warren B. Trout II and his wife Bonnie of Days Run, Richard Lee Trout at home, and Richard and Shari Duvall of Mt. Morris, PA; three sisters and their spouses, Tiffany Emerson of Morgantown, Daphne and Jason Eddy of Mt. Morris, and Veronica Phillips of Pittsburgh, PA; an uncle, Matthew Trout of Morgantown; two nephews, two nieces, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Warren Trout and his paternal great-grandparents, Marion and Bertha Clark.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Friday with the Rev. David Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.
