KENNETH L. WOODS

          Kenneth L. Woods, 81, of Fairmont, WV died June 1, 2025 at his residence.

          He was born July 21, 1943 at Deep Valley, PA, a son of the late Raymond Wood and Juanita Cumberledge Wood.

          Kenneth formerly worked at Raco Oil Company in the maintenance department. 

FLORINE HUGGINS

        Florine Huggins, 98, of Knob Fork, died Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.

        She was born September 2, 1926 at Pine Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Jesse Otto Phillips and Fannie Leota Norris Phillips.

IRMA McCOY

        Irma Murphy McCoy, 92, of Mt. Morris PA died Sunday, May 25, 2025 in We Care at Rolling Meadows in Waynesburg PA.

        She was born June 8, 1932 at Aleppo, PA, a daughter of the late Orval Lohr and Vaughn Weimer Lohr.

        Mrs. McCoy formerly worked at Andy Brothers Tire for 17 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle.

NORMA WILLIAMS

          Norma Jane Williams, 89, of Miracle Run, died Friday, May 23, 2025 at her residence.

          She was born November 9, 1935 at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late Jesse Homer Simpson and Lula Madge Tennant Simpson.

JAMES CARL ROBINSON

          James Carl Robinson, 75, of Paden City died May 17, 2025 at the home of his sister in Littleton, WV.

          He was born October 10, 1949 at Mannington, WV, a son of the late Carl William Robinson and Madeline Postlethwait Robinson.

          Jim worked as a laborer on the railroad and he attended the Rice Ridge Community Church.

Blaine A. "Sonny" Chess, 85, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at The Sistersville Center after a prolonged struggle with dementia. He was born on June 13, 1939, in West Alexander, Pennsylvania, to the late Blaine W. Chess and Ruby Main Chess.

WILLIE WAYNE JONES

          Willie Wayne Jones, 33, of Wind Ridge, PA died Saturday, May 10, 2025 of injuries sustained in a fire.

          He was born September 5, 1991 at Morgantown, WV, a son of David Jones and Teresa Aracich Jones.

          Willie was a member of the Laborers Local 1085 out of Parkersburg, WV.

MARY L. COPELAND

          Mary L. Copeland, 84, of Blacksville, WV passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, May 6, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

JERRY PRENDERGAST

          Jerry Daniel Prendergast, 45, of Hundred, WV died Monday, May 5, 2025 at his residence.

          He was born June 3, 1979 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of Sherrel Prendergast and Patricia Darlene Johnson Prendergast, both of Hundred.

          Jerry worked for Greene Resources of Core.  He was a member of the Hundred Church of Christ.

THOMAS RUTAN

          Thomas Duane Rutan, 66, of Waynesburg, PA died Thursday, April 24, 2025 in the Premier Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Washington, PA.

          He was born September 28, 1958 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Richard A. Rutan, Sr. and Wilma C. Temple Rutan.

          Tom worked his life as a farmer.
