Jesse “Buddy” Moore was gently called home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife of 65 years, Judith, and their three daughters. Born and raised in Fairmont, West Virginia, Jesse carried with him the values of faith, family, and quiet strength throughout his life.

Glenda Jean Sweeney (Fletcher), 62, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on the evening of February 21st, 2026, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born July 26th, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, Glenda was the beloved daughter of the late Rosemary Saunders Fletcher and James Eugene Fletcher. Though born in Ohio, she was raised in Jake's Run, West Virginia, along with her seven siblings.

Peggy Lynn Bowser Stewart went to meet her Lord and Savior Friday February 20th, accompanied by family at Morgantown Healthcare Center in Morgantown, WV. Peggy was born on May 18, 1947 to the late William and Wilda Bowser. She grew up in Pursglove, WV as part of a coal mining family. She was a homemaker and spent a lot of her life ministering to others through her gift of song.

LAYLE M. WOODS

          Layle M. “Gail” Woods, 88, of Westover, WV died Monday, February 16, 2026 at her residence.

          She was born June 15, 1937 at Pentress, a daughter of the late Ira Hall Brewer and Maude West Brewer.

          Mrs. Woods was a homemaker.

          Surviving is one daughter, Loretta Woods, of Westover and numerous nieces and nephews.

ERIN BUTCHER

          Erin Elizabeth Butcher, 46, of Daybrook, died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Connellsville, PA.

          She was born December 29, 1979 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of Georgia Ellen Tennant Butcher and the late Richard D. Butcher, Sr.

          Ms. Butcher was a homemaker.

          Adrain Paul Haught, 81, of Blacksville, WV died Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the home of his daughter in Morgantown.

          He was born October 16, 1944 at Fairview, WV, a son of the late Abraham Haught and Beatrice Patterson Haught.

BETH E. EVANS

          Beth Elore Evans, 85, of Hagerstown, MD died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her residence having been under Hospice care for the past two years.

          She was born February 15, 1940 at Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of the late Melvin Stricklan and Sylvia McCabe Stricklan.

          Beth was a retired secretary and was a protestant by faith.

Michael Norman Core, 60, of Wadestown, passed away February 3, 2026 at his home. Michael was born in Morgantown on March 15, 1965 to Norman Core and the late Marcia Kay Russell Core.

        Sara Lorene Cumberledge, 86, of Spraggs, PA died January 29, 2026 at her residence.

        She was born May 18, 1939 at Washington, PA, a daughter of the late William Rogers and Harriet Cole Rogers.

        Mrs. Cumberledge was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
