Betty L. Scott Simms Maust, 65, of Wana, WV died Friday, November 10, 2006 at her residence.
She was born March 22, 1941 at Belington, WV a daughter of the late Mason Scott and Anna Lee Behler Scott.
Mrs. Maust was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Blacksville Community Resource Center. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church of Wana.
Surviving are her husband, Don Maust; three sons & spouses, Robert Simms of Fairview; Jimmy Strosnider of Wana, and Sam & Bonnie Simms of Daybrook; four daughters and spouses, Carol & Gary Gasco of Daybrook, Debra & Jake Eddy of Blacksville, Elizabeth & Tracy Davis of Wana, and Susie and Michael Smith of Milton, Delaware; two step-sons & spouses, Chris Maust and Brent and Julie Maust, all of Granville, WV; three brothers, Gerald Scott of Barrackville, Jackson Scott and Joe Scott, both of Fairmont; two sisters, Donna McCoy of Daybrook and Ruthie Warnick of Baltimore, MD; thirteen grandchildren, Amber Strosnider, Shane Gasco, Heather StClaire, Gary and Mike Davis, Debbie, Hannah, Jacob and Miranda Smith; Felicia , Robby, Nicole, and Sabrina Simms; two step-grandchildren, Haley Resater and Mitchell Maust; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Simms who died in 1964, her second husband, Charles Stewart Strosnider who died in 1995, and one a sister, Nadine Copen.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blackville from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Tuesday with the Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Eakin-Wana Memorial Cemetery, Wana, WV.
