Alice Cummins, 94, of Valparaiso, Indiana died June 6, 2006 in the Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.
She was born August 27, 1911 at Spraggs, PA, a daughter of the late Albert Ross Minor and Mary Jane Sneith Minor.
Surviving are one daughter & spouse, Carol Ruth & Monie-Bill Parker of Valparaiso; three sons & spouses, James & Nancy Cummins of Jakes Run, Joseph & Linda Cummins of Fort Washington, MD, and John Cummins of Valparaiso, IN; and one son-in-law, Robert L. Copeland of Brave, PA. Fourteen grandchildren and spouses, Mary Ella Cummins of St. Louis, MO, Robert (Skip) Copeland of Brave, PA, Randy & Valerie Copeland of Mt. Morris, PA, Nancy & David Eddy of Cassville, Ronald & Joyce Copeland of Morgantown, Mona Janelle & Ronnie Vitello of Brave, PA, Mary & Brent Koontz, of Woodbridge, VA, Monie & Kim Parker of Valparaiso, IN, Jess & Glenda Cummins and Timothy & Teresa Cummins of Jakes Run, Priscilla & Ronald Hamilton of Mannington, Jodi & Rick Galanits of Denver, CO, Tony Cummins of Lafayette, IN, and Teri Cummins of Indianapolis, IN; nineteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Owen Cummins in 1965; a son, Edward Arthur Cummins on March 16, 2005 and a daughter, Betta Jane Copeland on June 2, 2006; two brothers, Charles and Marion Minor, and a sister, Betty Leppado.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Bank Cemetery, Pine Bank, PA.
