Donald D. Forquer, 73, of Core, WV went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born January 21, 1933 at Hagans, WV a son of the late Gilbert Ray Forquer and Jennie Jean Pawlak Forquer.
Don was a used car dealer. He operated Don & Jim's Auto Sales for many years. Prior to having the car dealership he worked in the salvage business.
He was a member of the Mt Morris Gospel Tabernacle. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Headley Forquer; three sons & spouses, Donald R. & Kathy Forquer of Pentress, Ricky & Sherry Forquer of Fairview, and John & Heather Forquer, of Pentress; eleven grandchildren, Jordy, Ryan, Megan, Holly, Jonathan, Ricky, Josh, Zach, Jesse, Tyler, and Logan; six brothers, Jack Forquer of Core, Junior Forquer of Fairmont, Richard Forquer, of Core, Bill Forquer of Morgantown, Robert Forquer of Hagans, and Gary Forquer of Wadestown; and five sisters, Dorothy Strakal of Morgantown, Wanda Tokarz of Rivesville, Anna Marie Russell of Brookhaven, Mary Haught of Fairmont, and Sandra Trickett of Gladesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Johnson and Bonnie Forquer.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Wednesday, and from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle at 11:00 AM Friday with the Pastor Fred Tomlinson and Rev. Chester Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview-Kiger Cemetery.
