Larry L. Statler, 58, of Miracle Run died peacefully with his wife by his side Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born July 25, 1948 at Core, WV a son of Edgar W. Statler and Ruby K. Ammons Statler of Daybrook.

Larry was a retired boilermaker of 36 and a half years and a member of Local #154 of Pittsburgh, PA. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Larry treasured his time traveling with his beloved wife and step-daughters to Wapacoma and Myrtle Beach. He liked fishing and driving the golf cart around the family pond. He also attended the Grace Fellowship Church in Wana.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Statler; two step-daughters, Brandi Marshall and Stefani Marshall who surrounded him with love at home; two sons, Ryan L. Statler of Morgantown and Ronnie A. Statler of Mt. Morris, PA; one brother Harold "Gene" Statler of Morgantown; two sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Earl Hixenbaugh of Core and Kathy White of Morgantown; one sister-in-law, Billie Jean Statler of Carmichaels, PA; and three grandchildren, Dillon Statler, Tad Statler, and Levi Statler.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Statler; a sister, Rose Boylen, and a grandson, Elijah Statler.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2006. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2006, with the Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery.

Larry and Lisa are very thankful to Morgantown Hospice, especially Karen Trump, for taking such great care of their family in their time of need. Their comfort and compassion have been a wonderful blessing.
