Plummer Clark Brewer, 95, of Blacksville, WV died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at his residence.

He was born September 16, 1910 in Star City (Brewer Hill), a son of the late Perry and Mary Belle Foley Brewer.

Plummer was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church, where he served as superintendent from 1964 thru 1989.

He retired from Consolidation Coal Co. on February 5, 1976, after 38 years in the coal mining industry. He was also a volunteer for the Monongalia County Emergency Medical Services for 10 years.

He is survived by two sons and spouses, Raymond and Ruby Tennant Brewer of Blacksville and Jim and Jeanne Brewer of Security, Colorado; one daughter and spouse, Mary Kathleen and David J. Hall of Paw Paw, Illinois; eight grandchildren and spouses, Monica & Danny Moore, Kevin & Carla Brewer, Debra & Dan Thompson, Darryl & Tina Brewer, Brian & Jiovanna Koceski, Kimberly & Victor Segatto, Robin & Mike Humphries, and Shannon & Chad Ramirez; fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and his cat Patches.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Clara Lemley Brewer who died on April 28, 2004; three brothers, Ira, Arza & Ellis, and a brother who died in infancy; two sisters, Edna & Laura, and a great-granddaughter Allisha Marie Moore.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday, and from noon until 1:00 PM on Sunday, the time of the service at the Olive United Methodist Church, with the Rev David Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Cemetery.
