Anne Shriver Barr, 94, of Wadestown, WV died Friday, July 21, 2006.
She was born March 28, 1912 at Wadestown, WV a daughter of the late Henry Shriver and Elizabeth Haught Shriver.
Mrs. Barr was a retired school teacher who taught for 38 years. She also gave piano lessons to many students in the area. Anne wrote the Clay-Battelle High School Alma Mater. She was a member of the West Warren Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son & spouse, Donald and Linda White of Wadestown; three grandchildren & spouses, Randy & Melanie McMillen, Brent & Courtney White, and Terri & Leroy Teets; five great-grandchildren, Mac McMillen, Breanne White, Nana Pennington, Random Ramsey, and Lindsay Wilson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Kylie Pennington, Maddie Pennington, and Chandler Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry (Pop) Shriver, Frank Shriver, Leo Shriver, Howard Shriver, and Robert Shriver; one sister, Lucretta Shriver, and three husbands.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Peg Tennant for the loving and wonderful care given to Anne over the last 6 years.
At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
