Gladys Christine Williams, 82, of Daybrook, WV died Thursday, October 27, 2005 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born December 7, 1923 at Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late William E. and Sarah Edna Stretchberry Hawkins.
Mrs. Williams was a housewife and a member of the Daybrook United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Gearl Williams; three sons, Jack Williams of Pentress, Dennis Williams of Fairmont, and Donald Williams of Jenkins, Kentucky; three daughters, Cheryl Gallagher of Crossroads, Susan Michael of Fairview, and Kim Brummage of Daybrook; two brothers, William E. Hawkins, Jr. of Fairmont and Jack Hawkins of Centerville, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Ruth Morris, Elizabeth Hall, Mary E. Adams, and Marjorie Rogers.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Sunday with Elder David Joyce officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Daybrook.
