Christine Cumberledge, 72, of Morgantown, WV died Thursday, April 7, 2005 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1932 at Bula, WV a daughter of the late Homer L. Roush and Mary Rose Moore Roush.

Mrs. Cumberledge was a housewife. She was member of the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She worked on the election boards in Pennsylvania for many years and worked with the Brave Civic Association organizing community events. She was a member of the Kents Chapel Church at Brave, PA.

Surviving are two sons, Victor Lee Cumberledge of North Orange, MA and Marvin L. Cumberledge of Brave, PA; one daughter, Edna Rose McAninch of Blacksville; one brother, Homer "Butch" Roush of Bowie, MD; one sister, Sue Six of Bula; three sisters-in-law, Helen Critchfield, Mary Louise McCollum, and Carolyn Hope Lightner; two brothers-in-law, George Cumberledge and Gaylord Cumberledge; five grandchildren, one step-grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence V. Cumberledge and one granddaughter, Sarah Tennant.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Saturday and from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Kathy Higgins and Rev. Charles McCollum officiating. Interment will follow in the Phillips Cemetery at Spraggs, PA.
