Lola D. Eddy Ammons, 60, of Fairview, WV died Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at home. She was born November 6, 1944 at Daybrook, the daughter of the late Russell "Bill" Golden Eddy and Ethel Lillian Schooley Eddy.
She was a member of the Daybrook and Pumpkin Center Churchs of Christ. She was a 4-H Leader for 25 years, a member of the Friends of the Fairview Public Library and the Monongalia County Farm Bureau. She loved to quilt and bake. She once worked at Westinghouse in Fairmont.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald "Pete" Leon Ammons; one daughter & son-in-law, Rhonda and Michael T. Cannon of Keyser, WV; one son & daughter-in-law, Leon & Deanna Poole Ammons of Middlebourne, WV; four beloved grandchildren, Paige A. Cannon, Creed W. Ammons, Jarold M. Cannon and Garrett A. Ammons; three sisters, Ellen M. Ammons of Hagerstown, MD, Oneita Kay Storey of Woodburg, TN, and Karen L. Wright of Metz; one brother, Richard L. Eddy of TN; three brothers & sisters-in-law, Jess William & Jo Tennant of Youngstown, Ohio; Roger and Judy Ammons of Boonsboro, MD, Leonard and Becky Ammons of Fairview; one uncle, Leonard Schooley of Albright, WV; one aunt Delphia Twigg of Ocala, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Lorraine Eddy; one brother, Lester K. Eddy; in-laws, Ira Stanley and Sylvia Brookover Ammons, and one brother-in-law, Melvin L. Ammons.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV from 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ in Fairview at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Evangelist Mark Jones officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
