Christina DeBerry Yost, 80, of Daybrook, WV died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at her residence. She was born December 25, 1923 at Hazelton, WV a daughter of the late Delphia Enos DeBerry and Golda Alice Miller DeBerry.
Mrs. Yost was a retired cook for West Virginia University and last cooked at the towers dormitory. She was a member of the Augusta Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star of Mannington. She was also a member of the Daybrook United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Lee Yost of Fairview and Jimmy Fay Yost of Maplewood, Ohio; two daughters, Ida Mae Osecky of Morgantown and Connie Sharon Copeland of Blacksville; one brother, Carless DeBerry of Uniontown, PA; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Poe Yost; one son, Richard Poe Yost; one daughter, Alice Elizabeth McAninch; one great-grandson, Wyatt Elijah Statler; three brothers, Fred F. DeBerry, Dana G. DeBerry, and Elmer R. DeBerry; and one sister, Shirley Mae DeBerry.
Friends will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Saturday. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery at Daybrook.
