Jackie A. Gump, 58, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at his residence.

Mr. Gump was born December 2, 1945 at Wileyville, a son of the late Inze Gump and Hollen Lowe Gump. He was a former employee of Ormet and Blown'Knox in Wheeling. He last worked for the Department of Highways in North Carolina. He was a protestant by faith and was a veteran of the United States Marines having served in the Vietnam Era.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Gump of Chapel Hill, NC; one daughter, Tammy Chambers of Sistersville; one step-son, John-Michael Hinds of North Carolina; two step daughters, Lauren Hinds of Ohio and MaryJane Beam of New Martinsville; three brothers, Leroy G. Gump of Jacksonburg, Denzil "Peck" Gump of Coburn and George "Bud" Gump of Burton; one sister, Mae Greathouse of Coburn; and four step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Madaline Gump and Rachel "Dink" Alley; one brother, David Gump; and a son Ricky Gump who died as an infant.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Lowe Cemetery at Coburn.
