George E. Cather, 91, of Metz, WV died Monday, April 12, 2004 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center in New Martinsville, WV.
He was born January 23, 1913 at Littleton, WV a son of the late Charles D. Cather and Maude Crow Cather.
Mr. Cather was a retired sheet metal worker.He retired from Bethlehem Steel in Sparrowspoint Shipyard, Baltimore, MD.He was member of the Littleton United Methodist Church and the Littleton Lodge #131, AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Gail Cather of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Lonnie J. Cather and Larry D. Cather, both of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Cather.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Clara Peggs officiating.Interment will follow in the Stoneking Cemetery.The Littleton Lodge #131 AF & AM will conduct masonic graveside rites.
