Virginia I Carman, 83, of Burton, WV died Thursday, April 1, 2004 in the Beverly Health Care Center in Waynesburg, PA.

She was born January 13, 1921 at Aleppo Township, Greene Co, PA a daughter of the late James Burge and Nellie E. Waters Burge.

Mrs. Carman was a homemaker.She was a former member of the United Emergency Unit in Hundred and worked for many years as an EMT.She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred and the Rush Run United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters & spouses, E. Ann Carman of Burton, and Barbara and David Logan of Aleppo, PA; three sisters, Donna Risbin and Aldene Cain both of Weirton and Zella Kennedy of South Charleston; two grandsons, David Logan and Samuel Logan, both of Waynesburg, one great-grandson, Cody Logan of Garrison, PA; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends at the Beverly Health Care Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Carman who died on February 16, 1983, one son Floyd Wayne Carman who died as an infant, two brothers, James (Bud) Burge and Frank Burge; one sister, Betty Mason.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Beverly Health Care Center Activities Fund, 300 Center Avenue, Waynesburg, PA15370.
