Violet F. Hixenbaugh, 81, of Littleton, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born February 4, 1922 at Deep Valley, PA a daughter of the late Al and Margaret Earnest Lough.
Mrs. Hixenbaugh was a retired senior aide who did telephone reassurance for the senior citizens at the Hundred Senior Center.She retired with 20 years of service to the agency.
She was a member of the Hundred Senior Center and the Earl Kiger American Legion Post # 120 Ladies Auxillary.She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Blaine Hixenbaugh of Littleton; one daughter, Betty Parthemer of Hundred; one sister, Josephine Barnhart of Deep Valley, PA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hixenbaugh who died in 1983; one granddaughter, Connie Lynn Parthemer; and two brothers, James Lough and Lee Lough.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Saturday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Ned, PA.
