Carson W. "Patty" Curry, 85, of Burton, WV died Monday, February 17, 2003 in the Morgan Manor Convalescent Center in Morgantown following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born June 9, 1917 at Burton, WV a son of the late Lemon and Mary Minor Curry.
Mr. Curry was a retired electrician and retired from the Taylor Winfield Corp. in Warren, OH.He was a former member of the Knights of Pythian in Warren, OH.He was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church, Garrison, PA and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ethel Prendergast Curry; two daughters, Mary Hall of Hundred and Betty Price of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four sisters, Ellen Wade of Weirton, Sylvia Hess of Houston, TX, Florence Hite of Greensboro, NC, and Lillie Holland of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren including his name sake, Carson Goss.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ester Curry; three sisters, Helen Rose, Frances Kaufman and Naomi Taylor; and one grandchild, Mary Beth Keatley.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-8 PM Thursday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Erwin "Woody" Wilson officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at a later date due to weather conditions.
