Roy R. Ashcraft, 65, of Glen Easton, WV died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Ashcraft was born on December 30, 1936 at Fairmont, WV a son of the late Arlie Glen and Olive Mae Mahon Ashcraft.
He was an employee of the West Virginia Department of Highways in Moundsville for 22 years.He was a United States Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War.He was a member of the Nazarene Church of Moundsville.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Lorraine Cross Ashcraft;three sons, Roy Glen Ashcraft of Mt. Clare, WV,Kelsey R. Ashcraft of Moundsville and Norman Eugene Ashcraft of Littleton;two daughters, Judith Lorraine Rhoten from Hampstead, MD and Kristie Irene Smith from Masontown, WV; one brother, Robert Scott Ashcraft of Carolina; eleven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 4-9 PM Tuesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with the Pastor Ron Perry officiating.Interment will follow in the Sancho Cemetery near Hundred.
