Joseph H. Wolfe, Sr., 65, of Hundred, WV died Monday, April 2, 2001 near Hundred.
He was bornDecember 28, 1935 at Flaggy Meadow near Lowesville, WV a son of the late William and Della G. Tichenor Wolfe.
He retired after 25 years of service as a supervisor for Cero Copper and Brass Corporation in Cleveland, OHand returned to his home state and completed his work years at the Emerald Mine in Waynesburg, PA where he worked as a belt electrician retiring after 20 years of service.He was a member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church and a member of the Littleton Lodge #131 AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Geneva Marie Friend Wolfe; two sons and spouses, Joseph H. and Leona Wolfe of Burton and Bradley and Marsha Wolfe of Fairview; three daughters and spouses, Patricia and Robert Riley and Christine and Harvey Knopp all of Jarrettsville, MD, and Sherry Ayersman of Morgantown; three brothers, Boyd Wolfe and Stanley Ray Wolfe both of Hundred, and David Wolfe of Pentress; one sister, Dorothy Smith of El Paso, TX; six grandchildren, Nicole Riley, Michael and Amy Ayersman, Matthew, Andrew, and Jacob Wolfe.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Long, Mary Fowler, Louella Konopko, and Evelyn Stansberry.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9PM Thursday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00AM Friday with Rose Saunders officiating.Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery near Hundred.The Littleton Lodge #131 will conduct masonic graveside services.Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Forest United Methodist Church, HC 67Box 69, Hundred, WV26575.
