Marie Garrison, 92, of (Rush Run Community) Burton, WV died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born February 4, 1909 at Hundred, a daughter of the late Morgan and Rebecca Braden Poland.
Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker and member of the Rush Run United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons and spouses, Bobby Joe and Jean Garrison, Alfred and Sue Garrison, all of Burton; and Gary and Linda Garrison of Hundred; one daughter and spouse, Loretta and Forrest Cooper of Apollo, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton A. "Doc" Garrison who died on August 10, 1971; a son, Harold W. Garrison; five sisters, Anna Pethtel, Pearl Poland, Minnie Snyder, Frances Little, and Eliza Hoge; four brothers, Harry Poland, Oscar Poland, Charles Poland, and Lawrence Poland.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 6-8 PMFriday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AMSaturday with Pastor Steven L. Cooper and Rev. Richard Ogden officiating.Interment will follow in the Anderson-BethelCemetery near Littleton.
