Minnie E. Tennant, 82, of Hundred, WV died Monday, April 8, 2002 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 2, 1922 at Daybrook a daughter of the late Russell and Bertha Moore Lemley.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker.She was a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 Ladies Auxillary, the Hundred Homemakers Club, United Emergency Unit, Hundred Senior Citizens, Blacksville Senior Citizens and a former member of the Hundred Town Council.She was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son and spouse, Leon and Kathy Lemley of Columbiana, OH; one brother, Learnie Lemley of Pentress; one sister, Jane Tennant of Wadestown; five grandchildren, Debra Ray, Jeff Lemley, Pete Limley, Cindy Lemley and Clay Allison; three step-grandchildren, Robbie Cable, Ravonne Cable and Renae Cable; five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Tennant, who died on February 16, 1981; three brothers, Leroy Limley, Willie B. Lemley and Winfred Lemley; and two sisters, Betty Tennant and Cathern Shaw.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with Rose Saunders and Pastor Tim Brower officiating.Interment will follow in the the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
