Stanley Ray Wolfe, 70, of Pentress, formerly of Hundred, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born June 29, 1944 at Endigas, WV, a son of the late William R. Wolfe and Della Tichenor Wolfe.
Ray was a retired coal miner with over 25 years of service. He retired from Consolidation Coal Company. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District #31 in Fairmont.
Mr. Wolfe was a retired United States Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Lee Hixenbaugh Wolfe of Pine Grove; three sons, Charles Wolfe of New Martinsville, William Wolfe of Pine Grove, and Stanley R. Wolfe, Jr. of New Freeport, PA; one daughter, Jackie Greathouse of Pine Grove; one brother, David Wolfe of Pentress; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his caregivers and nieces, Tamara Lynch and Tiffany Danser; and hisMonday night wrestling buddies, Alex Danser and Timothy Hughes.
Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Wolfe and Boyd Wolfe; three sisters, Ann Long, Evelyn Stansberry, and Mary Fowler; and by a half-sister, Dorothy Wolfe Smith.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
