Linda L. Cooper, 74, of New Freeport, PA, a popular tax accountant with a large Greene County clientele, died Monday, December 15, 2014 in Olympia, Washington.
She was born October 16, 1940 in Waynesburg, PA, and attended public schools in Washington and Greene counties, graduating from West Greene High School in 1958.
Ms. Cooper completed extension courses at Penn State and attended annual IRS tax seminars.
A member of the New Freeport Church of Christ, she was an outgoing and good-humored woman who loved her family, clients, church and Greene County.
Deceased are her parents, Herschel and Doris Bissett.
Surviving are her children, Cathy Cooper of Yelm, Washington and David Cooper of Stow, Ohio; brothers, Jack Bissett of Winters, CA and Dennis Bissett of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Alison Cooper and Jordan Cooper of Cleveland, OH; former husband, Jack B. Cooper of Rogersville, PA; and caregiver and companion, Shirley Grim of New Freeport.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV. Her cremains will be buried in the Centennial Cemetery near Aleppo, PA.
