Carole Abercrombie, 72, of Hundred, WV died Monday, April 8, 2013 at her residence.
She was born August 1, 1940 in Hundred, a daughter of the late Ray Tustin and Aline Postlethwait Tustin.
Mrs. Abercrombie was a retired CNA at Wheeling Hospital. She retired from the Oncology Unit.
Carole loved blue grass music and worked with the blue grass festival in Hundred. She was a member of the Wetzel County Democratic Women and the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 Ladies Auxillary.
Surviving are her children, Deborah Grimes and husband Larry of Pinckney, MI, James Carter and his wife Darla of Holbrook, PA, Pamela Blaker and her husband Jake of Carmichaels, PA, and Greg Carter and his wife Danielle of Monterey, VA; six grandchildren, Craig, Tanya, Kari, Jessi, Greg Jr and Nissa; eight step-grandchildren, Jake, Meagan, Greg, David, Sarah, Chris, Rick, and Tracy; six great-grandchildren, Carter, Essence, Asher, Vanessa, Mathew, and Baylee; and six step-great-grandchildren, Emily, Abbey, Hillary, Jake, Isabella, and Drew; nine brothers and sisters, Vincent Tustin, Delmus Tustin, Dale Tustin, Terry Tustin, John Tustin, Roger Tustin and Susie Tennant, all of Hundred, Janet Carter of Folsom, WV and Micheal Tustin of Woodruff, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. V. "Bud" Abercrombie and a step-son, David Abercrombie, and a brother, Vernon Tustin.
Respecting the wishes of the deceased, in lieu of flowers or contributions, the deceased has requested that you do an "Act of Kindness for a Stranger".
All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
