Wanetta Marline Greathouse, 70, of Metz died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her residence.
She was born February 15, 1943 at Buck Run, Wetzel County, a daughter of the late Charles Shreve and Hazel Belle Burdine Shreve.
Mrs. Greathouse was a home maker and she formerly attended the Rice Ridge Community Church.
Surviving are three sons & spouses, Terrell and Virginia Greathouse of Hundred, Keith and Carla Greathouse of Burton, and Larry Dean Greathouse of Metz; one daughter and her spouse, Beverly Prendergast and husband Marcus of Metz; one brother, Arthur Shreve or East Liverpool, OH; four sisters, Louise Gump of Lisbon, OH, Olive Weaver of Weirton, Geraldine Spencer of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Wilma Ensminger of Mannington; two half-sisters, Lavina and Cindy; one half-brother, Elmer; eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dutch Greathouse, who died on January 15, 1996; one son, who died as an infant, Georgie Lynn Greathouse; and four brothers, Francis Shreve, William Shreve, Clifford Shreve, and James Shreve; a granddaughter, Tasha Greathouse; and a great-grandson, Timothy Christopher Wise.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Thursday, (October 10, 2013). Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Everett Shreve officiating. Interment will follow in Mannington Memorial Park, Mannington, WV.
